Yes; the water is cold

For many that initial step is like standing at the edge of the pool or on the shoreline at the beach or at the river.  You know the initial entry will be chilling and may I even say shocking to your system.  What happens after that?  Some jump right in with an adrenaline rush. Then there are those that step out and get their feet wet first and stand only ankle deep for a few seconds before going in up to the knees and eventually you submerse yourself and as your body becomes acclimated to that which it has been newly introduced to, you adapt to manage in what surrounds you, what you have chosen to be a part of.  The same goes with new endeavors, yes the initial obstacles or challenges may be cold, but make that first step, lifestyle changes, business goals, all of those “what if’s” that you are standing on the edge to do.  This is me; I’m stepping in.
